    This lists, by location, all the working roller coasters in Canada as permitted by the location's season. Following each is the Type, Designer, and Year the Ride Opened.

    Portable coasters such as those used by travelling carnivals are not currently included unless they are semi-permanent, or permanent.

NOTES

    The Coaster Name column shows the official designation each ride uses. Other names employed are shown underneath. These may have been ones the park used at differing times or additionally, common monikers the public gave to describe a favourite ride. Coasters here are listed in chronological order based on the first year of operation at the given park. Those with the same year of opening are in alphabetical order.

    The Type gives the basic "wood" or "steel". Additional designations shown are explained by the Legend at the start of the chart. Realise that although some wooden coasters have steel structures, they are classed as "woodies" because the track is flat steel supported by laminated wood. Conversely, some wooden-structured rides have tubular steel track and are thus classed as "steel" coasters.

    Fields for Designer may show the manufacturer, with or without the designer's name(s).

    Fields for Year show the year the ride started operation in the given location. This is not necessarily the manufacturing date as some of the coasters listed here are used rides. Fields that show two dates mean the first to be the manufacturing date. The second is the start of operation date in the given park. A question mark as the first "date" means a used ride of which the manufacturing date is unknown.
