Woodstock Toboggan Run
(1920's ? - ?)

While not an amusement park, this deserves mention for the coaster fans reading here. Somewhere on or near Elm Street in Woodstock, was built every year an iced toboggan run. It ran between Guy Arnold's and a Mr. Harmon's house. The run started at a high board fence where the snow would drift in. From there it went into a garden, across a sidewalk, over a rise and into the backyard of Elmer Garden. Wooden sides were built and the track sprayed with water so that it would freeze into a slick run.

Although the layout crossed a street (Elm?), few cars were out because they were mostly put away for the winter. This was not an official run, but built by the local town kids, one of whom always watched that street for unlikely, but possible, traffic.
